Description

A fabulous amber and green glass vase by Jan Beranek, pattern number 5988, with the original label. The colours are spectacular, constantly changing depending upon the light. This is a superb, very heavy vase.

Jan Beránek was born in Polevsko near Nový Bor. He trained as a glassmaker with his father Emanuel Beránek at the glassworks in Škrdlovice, where he worked continuously from 1948 until 1987.

Condition

The vase is in very good condition. There is a small chip on the base rim (see sixth photo).

The white marks are just light on the vase.
