Description

A Wedgwood black basalt oval plaque featuring a Discus Thrower.

The plaque depicts a discus thrower based on the original Olympians. Probably produced as an Olympic memento, I have been unable to discover definitely which Olympics but I would think the 2012 London Olympics.

Moulded in deep relief from Wedgwood's black basalt, the plaque is mounted in an ornate frame.

Marked Wedgwood, Made in England, ND and 12.

The plaque and frame are in very good condition.
