Description

A mid-century Finel enamel Neptune casserole dish. The casserole features the "Neptun" fish pattern designed by Esteri Tomula. This casserole is a very good size and they usually cook very well. The base is marked Finel.

Finel is a trademark under which Wärtsilä and Järvenpää Emali sold bright, colourful enamel bowls and kitchen products.

Condition

The casserole is in very good vintage condition. The interior shows very little wear, just two fine scratches on the base. The exterior of the bowl is fine, the lid enamel does have several chips around the exterior rim. At some time these have been covered with ?white enamel paint. Some chipping is quite usual with vintage enamelware.
