A Banania Chocolate drink tin. Banania is a very popular drink in France, it is made from cocoa, banana flour, cereals, honey and sugar.

Over the years the tin has changed, initially the tin had a picture of an Antillean Girl. Her image was replaced in 1915 with the drawing of a widely smiling Senegalese man. The image of the Sengalese man has changed over the years, this image was changed after WW2 to a cartoon image.

The tins were labelled to be used as canisters, this tin is labelled for spices.

The tin is in very good vintage condition.
