A splendid Victorian glass Primrose Pearline pedestal cake plate. Made by the British company Davidson around 1900, it was part of their Primrose Pearline range. The design registration number 413701 is moulded into the glass. This pattern is known as 'William and Mary' by American collectors. The lemon colour was produced by adding uranium to the mixture. The plate glows magnificently under black light.
Pearline glass was produced between 1889 to 1914.
Condition
It is in very good condition, there are several small bubbles in the glass. This occurred during manufacture and was not uncommon.
